We're In Beijing

Well after a very long flight we are in Beijing. We are totally exhausted and heading off to bed, but wanted you to know we are safe on the ground. We will meet Addie on Tuesday. Bayley is already enjoying China. The hotel has many fountains and aquariums with goldfish, and she is amazed by the sights around us. We did just go to a local restaurant with our guide, and the food was so delicious. Most of the things we ate were new to us, but absolutely wonderful. Bayley ate lots of spicy seaweed and bamboo shoots. Tomorrow we head out sightseeing, and hopefully we'll quickly adjust to the time change so that we will be ready for Addie on Tuesday morning. Bayley also wants me to mention that we had a Chinese Jo-Jo on the plane. What she means is that the child sitting behind us was a boy of about 4, and though we don't know what he was saying, his temperament seemed like Jo-Jo's. He ordered his father around and then would kick the seat and whine. Tommy- we sure do miss you and Jo-Jo and Daddy.

Hey Britt and Bayley, Alicia here, just wanted to say that I am glad you have landed safely. I am also going to try to keep you updated on things Tommy and I do so that you have a little sense of what's going on here at home. Yesterday (Thursday the 11th) Tom helped my mom make peach jam and he also enjoyed eating the peaches. He finished his math homework with absolutely no problems and no complaining!! Today (Friday the 12th) we are headed to Machias to go swimming and have supper at McDonalds! Have fun and be safe! We miss and love you both!!

Glad to know that you made it safe and sound. Somehow I don't imagine that you will rest until you are back on Wyman Road! What an exciting time for you all! Tell Bayley she didn't have to go all the way to China to eat seaweed, there's plenty of that right in her own front yard! Give Addie a big hug from the Jordan family! ~Janet and Kassidy

We are so glad (and relieved) that you are on the ground! I feel like your mother.............I'm worried sick! I guess I come by that naturally. I spent some time with Aunt Win yesterday, and although she is more worried than anyone - I'm assured that she sent you well equipped with supplies and advice. : )

Brynn is going to harvest seaweed in the AM in an attempt to feel like Bayley. I say yuck, but I'll take your word for it.

Anyway, have fun and be careful! Only a few more days left to meet baby Addie.

Love you!
Nick, Todd, Brynn., & Myah

So glad to hear the post. Everyone here is feeling anxious and excited. I hope that someone has whispered in Addie's ear that Mommy and sister are coming soon. Our wish is that she will know immediately how loved she will be.We are so relieved that the first leg of the journey is over. Hopefully on Tuesday another part of of your lives begin with someone so special. The boys are doing great so far. Tom is such a young man and already talks of his big brother job. He will teach her many things.Love to you both. Stay safe! Love Mom and Dad.

Nana sends another message. We checked in on Ron and Jo-Jo and he was watching a movie and had had his daily trip to the gumball machine at the grocery store. We have gotten lots of calls and good wishes from lots of folks who are as excited as we are. It sounds like Addie has lots of cousins who are ready to get to know her. We will have a seaweed party when you return! Enjoy your surroundings. Love and kisses. Nana
